How nodes work

Bootstrap nodes help two clients discover a possible network path. They are not message servers and never store conversations, files, or user keys.

What a node does

• shares available route information;
• supports peer discovery;
• helps devices establish a direct connection.

Message delivery

After discovery, clients connect directly. Content is end-to-end encrypted and remains only on participant devices.
